The VA OIG is poised to play a critical role in the “War on Fraud.” The entire VA OIG team works aggressively to combat fraud, waste, and abuse every day. This is evident not just in our rigorous investigations conducted by our special agents, but also in our expert audits and inspections. Through collaboration with VA, our law enforcement partners, and fellow inspector generals, the VA OIG is dedicated to detecting and preventing fraud targeting veterans and VA programs and operations, including healthcare, benefits, and internal corruption.
