Join Us in Empowering Female Veterans

She Served. She Deserves. And This Summit Is Waiting for You.

Us Veteran woman homecoming. Young woman coming back to her family from military service for holidays. Female soldier going back home to spend time with relatives.

The VA is Coming to You!

Women Veterans and transitioning service members across the Southwest region are invited to attend the 2026 Southwest Regional Women Veterans Enrollment Summit called “Boot on the Ground for Boots on the Ground,” a free two-day event focused on enrollment, connection, wellness, resources, and community.

The summit takes place on July 24–25, 2026, at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, as part of VA’s “Boots on the Ground for Boots on the Ground” initiative. The goal is simple. Meet women Veterans where they are and connect and enroll them with the benefits, services, resources, and support that they earned through their service.

Whether you separated from the military recently or years ago, this summit provides space for women Veterans to enroll, learn, connect with Sister Veterans, ask questions, and discover what VA offers.

Attendees hear special remarks from Veterans Affairs leadership, special keynote speakers, as well as presentations from health care professionals, the claims clinic, benefits experts, advocates committed to serving women Veterans, federal contracting, resume advice, and guidance on navigating USAJobs.gov.

The summit features:

  • Enrollment and Benefits Information
  • Inspiring Keynote and Leadership Remarks
  • Informative Breakout Sessions
  • Women’s Whole Health and Wellness Advice
  • Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Resources
  • End-of-Life Planning Resources and Information
  • Community and Peer Connection Opportunities
  • Resource and Exhibitor Tables
  • Networking Opportunities with Sister Veterans

Breakout sessions cover topics including Post-Traumatic Stress, Military Sexual Trauma, suicide prevention, whole health, pain management, survivor assistance, women’s health services, justice-involved Veteran outreach, VBA education and benefits, resume writing, USAJobs, and LinkedIn.

Most importantly, this summit reminds women Veterans that they are not alone and that a community of sister Veterans stands ready to support them.

Bring a Battle Buddy. Bring your questions. Bring your story.

What do you have to lose?

The summit is free to attend and designed specifically for women who have served and want to learn more about their earned benefits and services, improve their overall wellness, connect with the right people for resources, and build community with other women who have served.

One conversation could connect you to a resource that changes everything.
