Her team evacuated more than 20 patients after a suicide bomb exploded at Abbey Gate during a tour in Qatar in 2021 - she is the 2nd nurse EVER awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for her efforts.

As a VA Intensive Care Unit Nurse, she said, "I’m very passionate about working at VA and continuing the care for Veterans here at home.”
